Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

There is one that looks just like that for sale at my favourite pub/restaurant on the canal about an hour away from us. I think I have mentioned it before, sure it is under £50K - how much would it be to transport it from Lancashire to Londinium - and could you get a berth for it? I love her, she is gorgeous, silver rails at the back, all painted black, very sexy xxx

You're like my very own boat agent Bren xxx

I'd need to get someone to pilot it to the big smoke - too nervous about the locks, engines exploding and all that (I am such a coward!). Not sure how much it would cost.

Re moorings, I know the harbour master at South Dock Marina (one of the best spots in London, the council owns it so I used to visit it a bit in my previous job). I emailed him tonight and he replied on his way home and said he thought there might be something coming up - is going to check tomorrow - CROSS FINGERS! I've seen another boat for £35000 - 70 Foot Canal Narrowboat Fitted with Lifts for Disabled | eBay UK

If I could get it for around that I'm then left with plenty of money to rip out the insides and have it exactly the way I want.

But am counting my chickens here, mustn't get too carried away until I hear from Chris (except that I am, lol - butler sink, full wide step in shower, lovely tiles, white walls, wooden floors...)

Right, Susie, the one I am on about is on the Lancaster Canal - hoist onto truck and drive to location - ok lol :)

If you click on the virtual tour of the cricket and bowling thingy, the boat I am talking about you can see in the background I am sure!

Gorgeous pub! Think I might have seen it in the Craft Shop tour?

You've just given me an idea - I've been watching Julia Bradbury in Canal Walks (BBC2 I think) - why don't we do a get together involving a walk along the canal and stay over somewhere - whaddya reckon? I love walking, don't do enough of it and decided it's going to be my exercise of choice.

LOL you going to carry it to London??? :)

I might come visit anyway Bren, if you fancy a canal walk, then dinner at Guys and I could stay over there? I've never been to Lancashire - although that's where my dad's family is from, allegedly. Fancy the idea Lisa?

And yes we do need a summer meet - maybe this, or something else.

Morning Susie, that's a lovely link Bren

I'll start a thread and see what everyone thinks :)
