Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Cute kitty! Sorry I didn't realise you weren't english origin, shouldn't have assumed really, if you were you might have got a passport same day as my sister did this once. Durham is our nearest office and I'm sure she had to go all the way there for hers.
I'm glad you have a holiday booked for later in the year. Just though with you going to Italy again are you Italian? I have only been to Italy once, to Milan. We got the train to Lake Como for the day too. I was only there for a few days as got a £10 flight (return) and it was fab x

Nothing as exotic - I'm a Kiwi :) The High Commission is closed on the weekend and they don't issue emergency docs for holidays.

Love Italy though, I try and get there twice a year.

Ah, I think you are the first Kiwi i have "met". I have Australians as part of my married into family, and have worked with Italians and South Africans, and have French and Burmese facebook friends but never a Kiwi. I feel all happy now, I like to have friends from different places with different experiences.
I would love to go back to Italy. One day, one day. I wanted to go to Venice, but my hubby went when he was younger and said it stinks. I think he was only about 10 at the time so I'm sure the beauty was lost on him. I may rope my sister into going someday!
I think that as you probably have some spending money saved up you should get yourself pampered now you aren't going. Go to a spa or something and relax, you deserve it after the disappointment x

Glad to complete your world friend circle :)

I was thinking along the same pampering lines (great minds eh!), but thought I might see if there's a matinee in the West End, get a bit of culture, and maybe buy a bottle of limoncello from somewhere posh like Selfridges, then enjoy it - hopefully in the sun :)

Sounds like a plan Susie, there was a bottle of limoncello calling my name in Sainsbos on saturday, but ignored it and went for the irish instead ;)

Morning all

Have woken up feeling zonked out, probably just all the worrying about the passport. Have to go to the police station to report it missing, then the High Commission, and feel really nervous for some reason - never been in a police station before, maybe that's why...

At least it's a nice day :)

Morning Susie, I missed the bit about the passport. Twickers was great :D and it was so nice to meet Katie again

I'm sure they will let you out again Susie ;) hope it all goes well and not too much blinking paperwork xxx

Aww Susie, that is absolutely pants. Hope you get the new passport sorted out without too much difficulty.

You're right Lisa, the police person was nice - but OMG what a drama when it came to the High Commission. Even though I have all my old passports and a certified copy of the lost one from my solicitor, I still have to apply as if for the first time for a NZ passport! Major hassle - and £70!

It turns out I could have got an emergency temporary one after all - for the bargain basement price of £300 :eek::eek: Seeing as my holiday only cost just over that, no point really. What a ripoff!:mad::mad:

Am officially annoyed.com :(

But I did get some limoncello....

You enjoy x

I don't like it myself, so sweet

Afternoon all - prepare for a whinge and self beating up time!

After a day of feeling sorry for myself, some tears and a nap, I have now told myself to snap out of it. This is NOT the worst thing in the world that could happen, it's a real hassle, true, but a hassle that can be sorted out over time.

In the meantime, I plan to pour myself a limoncello and then get stuck into cleaning my flat out because boy has this ever proved that it is time for a major life laundry! I've already chucked out old pictures of people I never see. Books, CSs, DVDs and paperwork next - it is all going out.

I'm also going to get a cleaner - because OMG the dust!

Sorry you all don't like limoncello - more for me and Bren hehe :)

Oooo once I started drinking I'm not sure I could be bothered to clean. But sober if I lived near to you i would give you a hand with the cleaning, but I live all the way up North. Nice excuse eh?

Have fun x

I love anything lemony, it's my favourite of all flavours and I totally ignore the 'no citric acid' rule and have it in fizzy water, on fish, on chicken and wherever else I can get away with it :D
