Afternoon all
Happy days, feeling much better today and got down to the shops and did a bit of Crimbo shopping - better late than never, I guess
Quiet afternoon, then out for drinks with an old friend. Tomorrow the landlord's repairman is coming round to fix some pipes at the back of the building - every time a woman upstairs has a shower the water just pours straight out onto my place. Now it's under the laminate floorboards which squelch as you walk on them and they are all warping
Oh well, not my problem - but a shame, as he redecorated the flat before I moved in.

Morning all
Not been the best start to the day - after some barely conscious IBS trots to the loo after eating meat too late last night, and associated pain, I realised that the water is now seeping up through the bathroom tiles. Luckily, the fixit guy is in the building now and will be down later, so hopefully it gets sorted. I only hope the underlay doesn't smell as it starts to dry out
Also got a call from a NZ friend at 7am, bless her (I was already awake but it was before my first cup of tea!), her mum died recently and she was pretty upset - but good to talk to her.
Am feeling quite peckish but my tummy and bottie computers are saying No lol. Now just waiting for my lovely friend and magic foot doctor to visit - he does my feet and we natter about property

Hi guys
The lovely fixit man has been. It was caused by a blockage in upstairs' pipes, which is fixed, and he also dug out the drainage pipes at the back (someone - not me - had helpfully filled them with soil!) and I now have to leave the heating on for two weeks and dry the place out, thank goodness it's not summer
Then in January he is going to replace the laminate and bathroom floor tiles - and at the same time he's going to install new kitchen cupboards and a dishwasher (which I'll pay for) for free yaye!
Unless I've bought somewhere by then

I really really really really (really) miss not having a dishwasher! And I've been looking on eBay and found some great kitchen cupboards, beech benchtop and taps at great el cheapo prices So this could all be good fun!
Early night tonight though - when I wasn't feeling uncomfortable last night, I was having dreams (nightmares?) about swimming - so, yaye, not tonight! Having some dinner in a mo, then reading, then zzzzzzzzzzzzz
