Still no word, I guess they are waiting for HR's wheels to grind slowly forward....the new marketing manager said it took a week for him to hear - and have also just heard that every single recommendation for an appointment has to go to the Principal!
Anyway, life goes on. Am going to eat more veg this week and boost my immune system - am on the mend but still sound like Jack Nicholson after a binge session
Just had a great chat with the chef in our cafe - she says if I fancy anything low carb she can prepare it for me without sauces and so on, or if i give them a day's notice they'll do me a tuna or egg or whatever salad. Isn't that fab of them?
So today I've had steamed veg - and a cup of chicken stock soup. Must admit to being quite hungry still, so I've got some l/c granola to have. Then more soup
Also bought myself the food processor/blender - very happy with how it looks and it's nice and strong, with a 1000W motor.

It was having things crossed that made me think of it lol. I use mine almost every day but haven't mastered soft boiled yet. I do them as medium boiled and they come out firm but not hard which is perfect for a lunch box. Soft boiled came out a gooey mess! And I keep meaning to ask Katie which end of the egg you're meant to pierce and whether the hole points up or down!! The instructions aren't very comprehensive and I've had a few spills on the hotplate
Ah thanks Di! Yes it comes with a spike to pierce the shell before cooking but mine keep spewing out lol. Also when that happens the white that has come out goes a bit pink. Couldn't work out why then realised its the date stamp on supermarket eggs!!
