Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

It only seems to be £119 on amazon - I never quite trust discounts like that.

Later - have been quietly freaking out wondering where Orbit is - she usually comes running when I get home, for her little Dreamies treat.

An hour and a half later, and still no sign....but all good, she has just sauntered in, the little minx! Phew....:D

LOL I think you're absolutely right hun - there have been a few catty tantrums lately.

She's now at the door to the bathroom staring at me with her mouth open, looking completely gormless! :D

Ahhhh can now relax into my four day weekend :) Swapped next week's no work Friday to Monday - because a week tomorrow it's PARTY time to celebrate with all my work friends! :D

Big plans tomorrow - I'm going to pick up my new Tefal frying pan and might even stagger out to Ikea at Croydon. Or not. :)

Check out both of the actifry ads, there are different sizes for capacity and some older models etc xx

Gosh, I hope with all the kitchen gadget shopping you are doing you will have plenty of cupboard space in your new kitchen...... Have a fab weekend.

LOL@Sammy - happily the new kitchen is nearly 20 feet long, so there will be lots of room for everything :)

Morning - woke at 4am, had tea and did some work, got an email from the boss at 6.30am asking why I was emailing at 5.30am lol (he actually asked if I was just getting home from RD, meaning Razzle Dazzle - our code for going to the pub :D), back to sleep at 7am - and just woke up again....:). It's way too cold and rainy to go to Ikea, methinks - might keep reading and trying to catch up with all the freebies I've downloaded!

Still getting lots of lovely texts from people about the job, a lot of them work ones, I've been lucky enough to make lots of friends there :) BIG celebration next Friday - and all Mini friends are cordially welcome :)

B - bacon and eggs - last time in the awful frying pan because my new one has arrived, ready to be picked up :)
L - pork belly and cabbage
D - roast chicken with sauteed spinach and mushrooms, I think

Have to make up some ground, foodwise. Yesterday was bad, all sorts of carbs made their way into my tum!

Evening all

Had a lovely dry lazy day inside, finished a couple of ebooks (including one about a young girl learning kung fu - not my normal reading at all, but it was really enjoyable).

Change of menu - baked some turkey pieces in the oven earlier, and just whooshed them around a pan with sauteed cabbage, some Alpro dream and chilli flakes - very nice :)

Could nod off right now, but want to stay up until at least 9pm - LOL such a party animal! :D

Later - am just having the yummiest drink. Made a coffee with soya milk heated up (no water) and added some Da Vinci egg nog syrup - oh it is lovely! I used to allow myself one egg nog latte from Starbucks at Christmas - and now I won't have to! :D

Morning

Been up for hours, nose all blocked so couldn't sleep, read another murder mystery (Val - "Bubba and the Dead Woman", very funny, I'm going to get more in the series) and waited for sleep to come....which it didn't. Oh well, it's the weekend.

Off to get my my frying pan in a moment - can't wait, the current dud made a real mess of my bacon and eggs! Nothing much else planned for the day, it's so miserable here.

I need some frying pans too, am slowly scratching the non stick off the current ones. Which did you get?

Hope it's a nice peaceful day Susie.

Back - and got the pan and blender/processor rinsed and drying before I try them out.

Went into the pharmacy on my way back and asked about some decent cough medicine that will move the phlegm off my chest properly - all the over the counter ones are so sweet, loaded with alcohol and bad stuff and also don't seem to be helping. The pharmacist likes to offer herbal treatments - so I have come home with this Buy Salus Thyme Organic Fresh Plant Juice, £5.15, Liquid Products, Online Pharmacy

Oh dear god it tastes FOUL!

Be careful it's not a chest infection Susie. A couple years ago I had a niggly cough for ages. That was the only obvious symptom besides feeling tired and a bit spacy. I started getting breathless and went to the doctors. She had a listen and asked if I was a heavy smoker. I smoked about 3 packs of cigarettes in my entire life at the age of 17, a hundred years ago lol. Obviously it was quite advanced and I didn't even know it and was put on a high dosage of antibiotic.

Hope you feel better soon and make sure you get to the doctors if it persists. x

Thanks hun, I really appreciate you thinking about me xxx

As a smoker (I know, I know, but down to about 5 a day), I am prone to them and have ended up in Outpatients on an inhaler thing once or twice. Happily, I'm not there yet with this one :). The cough's not too bad during the day, it's at night when I lie down and my chest goes all rattly - very Steptoe!

I'm hoping - in my bizarre fashion - that because the thyme stuff tastes SO terrible, that it will work :)

That seemed to be the rule when I was little. The really yucky stuff was good for you!

I hope you feel better soon Susie, chest infections don't sound fun.
