Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

So so proud of you for keeping off the vino! Definitely the way to give yourself the best chance, IMO. Dizzy spell might have been due to slightly heightened blood sugars from the higher carb S&S packs, then a small crash? Glad it passed quickly anyway. Have a lovely day today.

Thx ML and morning all

Had just chicken and mayo last night, didn't feel like anything else, and had a good night's sleep.

But quelle horreur at sneaky WI this morning, 2lbs on. I can always tell when I'm losing weight because my (already huge) tummy goes sort of wobbly and soft, rather than the rock hard beach ball it normally is, and it wasn't floppy any more this morning :(

I know the scales jump around a bit during the week but I do think it must be due to the S&S stuff - so got myself a bit more organised this morning and made Mim bread before work.

I get two slices out of the one recipe, so I've just had a Mim slice with two bacon and an egg, which I shoved in my Thermos mug to see if that would keep them warm. And the answer is....no :) - but at least it was nice and filling. Leftover chicken and Mim for lunch and I'll go and get some salad to go with it. Cheeseburger pie with cabbage for dinner.

Oooh just been chucked off my computer so have time to catch up with your diaries while I'm waiting :)

That 2lbs has to be a water fluctuation - not surprising if the S&S is too carby. I've always thought the main drawback of low carb is the necessity to be very organised because if you're out and about or at work and at the mercy of commercial food suppliers, your options are often pretty limited if not non-existent. There's no substitute for good planning, unfortunately (as you know!).

As for keeping food warm, don't know if these would be any better than a thermos mug? Hot & Lock 3 Pieces Set: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home I have a set of something similar, and as long as I pre-heat them with some hot water and use the size that best fits the volume of food I'm trying to keep warm (the fuller the container, the better) they don't do a bad job. Might be worth a try.

Thanks hun good suggestion, but as I can get a compact microwave for a pound more, I've started Operation Heat Up in the office to see if we can get a small microwave that I can hide from House Services :)

Microwave for the office makes sense! Fingers crossed operation heat up is a success (love the military name).

LOL we have an over vigorous Facilities guy!

Well it's all happening here, should have been a quiet night in front of the tellie and instead I'm typing up statements (to do with bad government proposals to the English Baccalaureate no less) and emailing lords...what a life! But fun :D

Tummy is going floppy again - like you needed to know that - so hopefully I'll make my 7lb target for the week tomorrow. The plan is to do clean and green induction next week and WI on Friday mornings from now on, so I can go out to a work farewell on Friday and glug out the damage over the week :D

Hope you're all having a good night.

Hey Susie... Just popping by to give you a hug xx

Afternoon all

Am in at work at the moment, trying to get this statement sorted, but nearly there now :)

And WI was good, I've lost 7.4lbs, so made my Jan challenge, and the rest is a bonus :D Clean and green from now on!

B - bacon and eggs
L - chilli mince and cabbage (whenever I get home)
D - chicken and cauli mash

Well done Susie on great wi, that's brilliant. Work sounds very interesting hope you get to finish soon so that you can get home to Orby, it's very cold out there today so wrap up warm.

Thanks ladies :) I'm very happy with W1, considering the intake of oats and S&S as well :)

Off home shortly, can't wait to get there and have a cup of tea, no milk in the office argggh!
