Am making choc chip muffins today as requested by the mother! So this will be a test! Although, if i cooked all that i did on TFR and not touched one bit of it im sure i can do it now! :)

Am also off to the gym tomorrow straight from work :eek: first time in god knows how many years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you finding it better with the 2 x shakes and 1 meal?

hmmm yes and no - i want to pick - not really at bad things but i just feel like i should be eating 2 meals but hey ho its not too bad today. I've had my lunch, had a little more than usual so hopefully i wont feel the need to have a snack this afternoon. As usually i'll have some carrots or an apple.

Regarding your £20 ..... now you may well think this is mad .... BUT .... it flippin' well works!! ....... Stand quietly somewhere in your house, take 2 or 3 deep breaths until you're feeling calm .... then say ... out loud if you can ..... in your head if that could be embarrassing ... " Angels! Please show me where the £20 is" Then go to the first place you think of - even if you've looked there 200 times already...... I've never known this not work.

Your angels are always there to help you but they're not allowed to interfere .... you have to ask them ..... :)

Went to the gym after work. So am going to keep track of that in here also:

Gym:

Calories burnt: 240

Treadmill: 17m 10s - 1 mile (walking & running)

Bike: 15mins

Rower: 10mins

I dont think my mile time is too bad considering i havnt been to the gym for 7 years!!! Eventually i need to run about a mile in 9mins for me to do the plymouth half marathon. It will take time but i will get there :)

Going again on tuesday with me little bro - he's fit as hell so hopefully he'll give me some pointers.

Gym also took my mind of my personal stuff, it has made me more postive - weird right?

Anyways, lunch is almost ready :drool: xx

That'll be those endophine thingymabobs 'they' say kick in when you exercise making you feel better! (I say 'they' say coz it's an awful long time since I'd have felt them ... so long I've forgotten!! :eek:)

endorphins - apparantly chocolate releases them too .... have to say eating chocolate is a damn cite easier than going to the gym just to get my fix of em! :giggle:

Saturday - Girly night in

Sunday - Bf's Birthday

* Doritoes and Dips, Cherry bakewell, 1 shortcake chocolate biscuit & a sun lolly

So, sunday wasnt too great of a day. Bf didnt want to go out anywhere for his birthday so we rented a movie and got some crisps and dips and snuggled up (yes soppy i know!). Not as bad as it could have been, back before LT i would have had the whole sharer pack of doritoes, a whole dip to myself then probably some chocolate bars to wash it down! I was happy i knew when to stop - but calorie total today, i dont even want to know! lol

Have changed my weigh in day, i am going to weigh myself friday mornings. I just cant be doing with doing it on monday mornings as i worry too much over the weekend.

So next weigh in will be friday morning before i trot off to work, that will be 11 days since the last so hopefully i'll have dropped just over 4lbs to get me back into the 12s!!!!!!!!!!1

Am doing 1 shake and 2 meals again this week as i found i snacked alot when on 2 and 1 meal.
 
Monday 27th & Tuesday 28th

Yesterday was a very bad day!!

I had 2 slices of toast for breakfast AND a toasted tea cake!!!!

Lunch i had a fish finger sandwich with a packet of french fries and a slice of battenburg

Dinner i cooked lemon chicken and had CHIPS (yes freaking chips!!!!!!!!!!!) with it and a handfull of toffee popcorn for afters.

Yesterday was such a baaaad day :asswhoop: for me please guys ...

Still, today is a new day and it will be:

B - LT Shake

L - Chicken and cooked vegetables

D - LT Shake

*mouthfull of coleslaw and a bite of cheese
*5 slices of thin cooked chicken breast

Now, that moutfull of coleslaw and bit of cheese, what was i thinking?!!!! i got home from work early and automatically went to the fridge! :mad:

Anyways, i was going to do 1 shake and 2 meals again this week but im sticking to 2 shakes and 1 meal as i feel i need the strictness.

I only have enough shakes to last untill sunday - then i will be onto 3 meals a day untill i get back on LT in september. I am very very scared. I don't want to put this weight back on i really dont but ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant do it on my own and cant afford to buy another lot of shakes.

Any ideas people please as to what i can do? :cry: i know i cant live on LT forever and i know at some point im going to have to have 3 square meals a day but i dont want to! :cry: lol

I will no doubt feel like you in a few weeks, as the shakes seem to be like a crutch, so to speak, but, at least you are still posting and being accountable, which I would say is Step 1.

Just a suggestion, but have you thought about joining a slimming club by any chance? It is only around £5 a week and it would maybe just give you a bit more accountability????

I would also clear your fridge of anything that you think would be "unhealthy choice" at the minute. Do you have a big fruit bowl, so when you do feel like nibbling, you can have a piece of fruit, or even just some diet coke! That can sometimes curb the feeling as it just fills you up with all the gas!

Hope these few things can help.

I cant stand the thought of going to a slimming club every week i'd be no good because say i did the green an red days - i'd just much my way through all my 'syns' eating crap food - and i dont want to be eating junk just because i can - if ya get what i mean!

As for clearing the fridge and cupboards - dont think my rents and little bro would be too happy with that!!!! They buy so much crap its unbelievable! I mean i resisted it all on TFR surely i can do it now but noooo!

I mean i do have my own fridge (well say my own its my brothers thats in his room that i use when he is away) he is on summer leave on the 1st of august so im screwed for my own 'space' when he's home and will have to put my fridge stuff in the familys fridge surrounded by junk!

I do have my own freezer drawer though - stocked with chicken, salmon and veg :giggle:

I think im just panicking - i mean if i lay off the 'bad' carbs i reckon i can do it - its just self control isnt it :sigh:

maybe i shouldnt have my carb day every week and just stick to no carbs, ever! lol
 
Why not just watch your daily carbs? Don't ban/limit them except for one day a week, allow yourself a certain amount of 'good' carbs (1-2 slices of w/meal bread or a pitta, or some potatoes with dinner, or w/meal cereal in the morning?
I find as soon as something becomes 'off-limits' I want it all the more?
 
Nah, see im fine with having it one day a week, i can go all week and not have bread/pastas etc and it doesnt bother me but as soon as it gets to monday, carb day i go down hill - which is why i reckon i might have to cut it out completly! I can do without, i love chicken and veg and salads but am worried it might get a little monotomous!

Any ideas what i can have for breakfast once off shakes?
I work from 6:45am untill 11:45 am and only get a 10 minute break every hour and i have my shake (breakfast) at 9:40 ... what can i have in 10 minutes that is anything other than a cereal bar ... carrots? boiled egg? Is this a suitable breakfast?
 
I can only speak from my own experience Summer but for me cutting out the Sugery rubbish completely andwhite carbs, eating three healthy big meals a day with a protein at each is working for me and I was the binge queen . I am not saying im cured (I take one day at a time) but so far so good. Thing is if you are eating enough good healthy food at your meals ,you wont be tempted by the junk in the fridge. Sometimes when I get to lunchtime and I dont like the idea of chicken and salad ,I will either wait until i am hungry and then it tastes smashing or just have a yogurt and lunch later. I dont think I was ever "Hungry" for food before because i was picking all day.HTH.Breda

I'd like some ideas too? I LOVED cereal- usually weetabix (kept me regular! LOL!) or occasionally muesli, and will have it sometimes, but don't want to rely on it everyday if I'm trying to watch my carb intake?
Scrambled eggs with ham/smoked salmon are a favourite with atkins-ers, but not practical for your work?
