Taz's diary - Need to do this!

She was indeed a stunning bride Vicki. I agree that you have to be very careful who you trust, especially with things like hypnotherapy x

Thanks Taz and Gemstone for the replies.

I'll definitely do that Taz. I have tried to find someone around here, but when you see their photo or look at their webpage, they often strike me as someones random uncle - and if the website has a spelling mistake on it then forget it!! :)

I don't know anyone else who has had it done and all the forums I've read, people seem to have success with it initially but then stop posting after a while. I've always been prone to weight gain, but just feel I need something other than just willpower. I've asked to be hypnotised off carbs before, so that I don't have them e.g. pasta as the main part of my meal, but they all say no. Tut!!

Sorry to have gatecrashed your diary... I'll pop back soon and say hello. Good luck to both of you in your weight loss battles/journeys. Taz your wedding photo... STUNNING!!

xx

Thanks Vicki, that was my lowest weight which I achieved with SW then it all started to go back on again. You are more than welcome on my diary, it's always nice to see new people. What area are you in?

Well so far my quiet day has gone like this: Stacked and organised the washing up pile (not yet actually done the washing up), emptied 6 more drawers in the bedroom and sorted and boxed all the contents, sorted out the paperwork ready to make a lot of calls, made my snack box for later (carrot and cucumber batons, cherry tomatoes and pickled onions), and just had breakfast which was scrambled egg on toast and a mug of mint tea :D

I think after doing the washing up I will have that lazy day I promised myself (until this evening when Mr Taz gets home and we have more work to do). Yesterday I bought the entire series of Gavin & Stacey on DVD as I've never seen it so I might have to make a start on that :D

Im in Bromley, Kent. I was having a really good poke around this website earlier in my bid to find someone reputable, and as a result ended up having a chat with a lady called Sharon Stiles. She was lovely and very helpful, but she is miles away from me. She does skype sessions (have you heard of that?) but I think I'd like to be in the same room. she emailed me a few people to try and I've come across a lady called Pat Whittaker. She's emailed me - Im going to call her tomorrow. She can even come to my house if I want as this is the area she covers... and she specialises in GBH. Hmmm I think Ill call it VGB instead. The other one sounds a bit dodge!!

Someone also suggested I go to Sheila Grangers website to get a recommended practitioner from there, which seems like a good idea, but Im already onto this Pat, so Ill see how our chat goes tomorrow. I went to weight watchers tonight and somehow had lost 2.5lb. dont know how really as I didnt track or look up points; it was all getting on my nerves a bit having to look up everything.

I tried SW Taz, but I found that I was doing so much cooking from scratch that I couldnt sustain it. And if I didnt take a packed lunch to uni I was buggered. So I thought I'd scoff over Christmas, then join WW in Jan. can you follow WW or something after a VGB? I thought it might be wise to stick to a plan of sorts.

Cant believe I only found this website recently. Think I'll stick around for a bit... its nice to read other people's stories x

Yes stick around, you will get all the support and advice you need! Sharon Stiles is the one I am thinking of going to as she is recommended by someone who has tried and tested several hypnotists! So if she has recommended someone for you I would imagine she would be good too. I continued with SW for a while after then realised it was pointless as I had no need to follow the plan. I just eat healthier things and give more consideration to what I eat.

Well I only lost 3lb this week which I'm ok with but I was hoping for 4lb. Still over my declared weight though so no movement on the tickers

Well done with 3lb - at least you are closer to your ticker x

That's true, every lb is a lb closer. One back on this morning after lunch out with the in-laws yesterday and, after being confined to bed with a ballooned knee last night, pizza hut delivered dinner!

Well the bedroom clearing is going well, one wardrobe was sold at the end of last week and we have a quote for the electric work to be done. We have 9 days until the surveyor comes and all the furniture apart from the bed should be gone by Tuesday :D So hopefully the electrician can come in soon after and all we need then is a plasterer to fix the dodgy wall. So much to do and it all has to tie in with other schedules

A lot of work to do Gem and I have to do most of it on my own :( Like now, I am off to clear a space for the guy who will hopefully be buying our chest of drawers. And if he does I will then have to find somewhere to temporarily house the tv as that's where it's been living!

With a bit of luck you will get your shelf put up later :fingerscrossed: x

Morning all! Well yesterday was a busy day. I got a few things sorted in the morning then in the afternoon we had the tv in the bedroom put on the wall along with a shelf underneath for the dvd player and the V+ box and the surround sound speakers also put on the wall. It looks great! We also had 2 plasterers come round to quote for the work we need doing, we picked one and he is starting work this morning :D then in the evening a guy came round to buy some of our furniture which was great timing as we need the space in the bedroom for the plasterer to work. This evening we are taking another trip to our storage unit to get some more stuff out of our way. My prized lounge is making me want to cry at the moment :( It looks like a bomb has, not only hit it but, bounced around a few times then laughed before exploding once more in a spectacular fashion. I need to get some order into this room but I can barely see the wood for the trees!

It is "work in progress" Taz - it will all be worth it when the bedroom is done and the new storage will transform the lounge too x

I know it will Gem but it's so depressing seeing my lovely lounge in this state! Especially when I have to stay in it every day! If my plan works the new bedroom will not only have a knock on effect to the lounge but to the kitchen too! I'm hoping that 2 of the cupboards in the lounge can be emptied and the stuff in them stored in the bedroom (one contains shoes and the other has Christmas stuff in) and with a reshuffle of the other cupboards in the dining area (moving the stuff in those to the ones in the lounge) I can use the cupboards in the dining area to store our glasses and crockery freeing up cupboard space in the kitchen! That's the plan....

Sounds like a good plan Taz. You have very little space in your flat and you both have lots of stuff - the extra storage space will be brilliant and you'll be able to enjoy your space much more. Hang on in there - it will all be worth it x

5 weeks and it will all be done. 6 weeks and I hope everything will be back to normal. Or rather, it's new state of normal!

Morning all! Things are all moving swimmingly here, just hope that continues! The plasterer is here to finish the job he started yesterday and we will be able to paint on it in a week which I'd planned to start on the 25th anyway :D the electrician will be doing the electric jobs on Friday and we need the room completely empty for that. We have the last 2 remaining wardrobe units on ebay with the listings due to end on Thursday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I'm hoping the buyers can both collect on Thursday night or we may have an issue there. As it is we will have to find somewhere to put the bed but I'm sure we can work that out somehow. After this week all we have to do is paint the room then we can just chill for a while until the big work starts. We are staying away while that is being done but I will be here everyday to let them in and supervise/ply with refreshments. It will be a 3 or 4 day job but we are staying away for 5 nights so that will give us a chance to sort the stuff back into the room. I will be soooooo pleased when it's all done
