Taz's diary - Need to do this!

Morning Taz x

Morning all. Well I've drafted the pizza lb back in to have a word with the distracted returner. I have issued specific instructions that they must both be gone by Monday morning and their friends have til Friday to leave :D

No snow here today but it's still all white outside. It's a bit of a double edged sword for us really as we love the snow but we are having work done which has been put on hold as the electrician couldn't get to us yesterday. It was a bit of a relief as we still need to clear the room properly and the furniture is all being collected this weekend and we need to take the last lot of stuff to storage. We are hoping we can get all that done today or tomorrow and then the electrician can come in sometime next week

I hope your work isn't held up too much Taz. I think we've got a little more snow coming on Tuesday but there is a little bit of a thaw going on in our back garden - not majorly so though

Yes more snow is forecast but I'm hoping we can beat it. The last of the furniture is going tomorrow and I'm hoping the electrician can do the work on Monday. Hopefully the surveyor will arrive as planned on Tuesday then there is nothing more to do (apart from painting which we are doing ourselves) for 3 weeks. I'm sure the delivery and installation wont be delayed as it's a little way off yet

Well that's just theory Gem! The electrician will phone me on Monday about rescheduling and I'm just hoping that he will say he can do it then. He knows what our time constraints are so hopefully he will. As for the surveyor, we haven't heard any different so I am assuming he will be keeping the appointment as planned unless anything drastic happens between now and then although it's not forecast to til after his appointment. We will just have to wait and see....

/Everything crossed for you Taz :fingerscrossed: x

Thanks Gem. At least we have finally done our last run to the storage unit so I can now start getting some order into this place. In a month it should all be over and done with but til then I have to make this place liveable in. I think I know how it will all work but I just have to do some rearranging

Oh it will be! But I just want to fast forward to when it's all done as this bit is bl00dy hard work and annoying

Ok, time to get serious now. I go back to work (hopefully) in just over 5 weeks and my work trousers don't fit! So I either order bigger trousers before I go back, which I really can't bring myself to do, or I shrink back into the existing ones. Obviously the aim long term is to fit into and shrink out of the existing ones but it seems like a huge mountain which I have no way of climbing at the moment! I know I can only do it by diet alone at the moment but that's not so easy when I am home all day :( but I HAVE to do it so here goes..... 5 weeks to squeeze into these trousers

Good morning.

Well as things are clearly not going well here I have decided on some changes which, although small, will hopefully make a difference. Every little helps!

Change one: Now you will have to keep up with this as without the whole story the change will make no sense! When I am at work I spend a lot of time in Starbucks where my favourite drink is a skinny caramel latte. Although skinny, it still contains a lot of milk and the syrup obviously contains some calories but it's our daily treat. Whilst I've been at home I've been drinking instant and cafetiere coffee and I bought the new Dowe Egberts caramel flavoured instant and I was having one of those every morning. Then we ran out of milk. So I decided to see what it was like without and it was really nice! So that gave me an idea..... I have some coffee syrup here so I got the cafetiere brewing and put a drop of syrup in my cup the filled with fresh coffee and no milk. It was lush! So the change I'm making here is, if I have flavour I will not have milk. When I go back to Starbucks I will be ordering a black caramel americano, saving on the milk calories and it will be a lot cheaper too!

Change two: I have been having chicken with oven chips and veggies recently. I have decided that I will up the veggies and ditch the chips. Only a small change and probably not much difference in calories but it will be a lot better for me. I will also be eating off a side plate rather than a big plate.

Change three: This one is a bit backwards really as its one I adopted, or rather reverted to, a few weeks ago. It's quite simple really, I will have at least one cup of mint and green tea a day. It's something I used to do all the time but for some reason stopped.

Change four: I have got a salad box so when I go back to work I can take my favourite snack of carrot and cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes and pickled onions with me to snack on.

Change five: Be prepared! I know that doesn't sound like anything to do with losing weight but I need to make sure my cupboards and fridge are stocked with all the stuff I need to make the above possible. At the moment I am at the mercy of anyone who can take me to the shops but when I can drive again I will take control!

So that's it really! Curious thing this morning, still no move on the scales but I tried on my work trousers and I could actually get them done up! Don't think I'd have been able to sit down in them but they were on and done up. I think a few inches and they will be wearable.

5 weeks!

That sounds really positive. I can take you to the shops as long as I can get out in Bugsy (given the distance away) so call on me when you need to x

I have got physio later so I am going to get some stocking up done while we are out. Unfortunately they have just announced more snow so I may find myself tangled up with all the panic buyers :(

Snow here too Taz - more to come x
