Eating right to be slimbysummer

Just back now - went really well (i think) was a group interview (20 people) & then a 5 - 10 min 1 to 1 interview.
They said at the beginning that we would hear within 7 days if we'd got a 2nd interview. As i was leaving the women who interviewed me smiled at me & said 'i think you'll be hearing from us' so hopefully.
Really excited about it.
Hopefully will hear soon. BTW I did wear my dress and felt really nice which was nice in itself. i'm normally super critical of myself but think i looked the part & talked the talk.

Thanks for the support & advice - def helped x

OH MY GOSH - congratulations! Duty Manager - wow! Good luck. One of my interview preparations is pretending to answer the phone and say the name of the company... Seems to work and make you feel part of the company prior to the interview. Good luck, you can do it!:D

Hello, hope you dont mine that i've posted. Just wanted to say your diary looks great. It has given me some nice ideas. :)

Well done on getting a 2nd interview, good luck.

Well what can i say about the 2nd interview - it lasted a whole 3 mins!!!!

The General Manager hardly spoke to me - he asked me 1 question then said "we've had so many applicants we are doing 3rd interview so if you don't hear from us within 7 days you've not got the next stage, thanks!" - got the impression it was all about the image.

So think it all ends here - if i hear from them will be total miracle (i'm not remotely snobby so while i think i looked the part my giggly lancashire accent/personality is far removed from what i saw today) But if i have to be plastic or have plum in my mouth to work there - its not the role for me so will just keep looking.

On a totally different note - we had for tea last night butter chicken (made ova 2 days with lots of spices) and oh my word..... it was amazing. Restaurant good!!!! so will add the recipe as its syn free.

Butter Chicken

1 tbspn fennel seeds
4 tbspns madras curry powder
4 crushed garlic cloves
1" piece of fresh ginger grated
2 tbspns white wine vinegar (i used normal white vinegar)
4 floz/113ml passata
5oz/142g fat free natural yoghurt
2lb/908g skinless chicken thigh fillets cut into pieces
Fry light
1 large onion finely chopped
1 cinnamon stick
4 green cardamom pods
salt & pepper
400g can chopped tomatoes

Dry fry the fennel seeds and curry powder in a non stick pan for 1-2 minutes or until the fennel seeds release a warm aroma. Transfer the seeds and powder to a work surface and crush with a rolling pin or use a pestle and mortar grind to a powder.

Put the ground spices into the food processor along with the garlic, ginger, vinegar, passata and half the yoghurt and blend until smooth. Transfer to a large glass or plastic bowl with the remaining yoghurt and add the chicken. Mix will and cover and leave in the fridge to marinade for 12-24 hours.

When ready to cook spray a large frying pan or wok with frylight and place over a medium heat. Add the onion, cinnamon and cardamom pods. Stir fry for 6-8 minutes until the onion is soft. Add the chicken mixture and cook, stirring frequently for 10 minutes season well.

Stir in the chopped tomatoes and stock and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 40-45 minutes stirring occasionally.
