Day 50

I'm glad it's Friday today, and that I have managed not to entertain too many thoughts of "yay I'm at goal let's go paaaarty" :party0051:

Having said that I have dinner at the grandparents' tomorrow evening - hopefully it'll just be a plain roast as usual and I'll skip the pudding and after dinner choccies.

Stuck to 1000 calories today to give me a little leeway for tomorrow - have had yoghurt with blueberries, a mix-a-mousse, a CD ice cream, and quorn sausages with new potatoes, reduced salt/sugar baked beans and mushrooms.

I'll see if I can get out for a jog tomorrow if the rain holds off for a bit...

Thought for the day:

"The way you treat yourself sets the standard for others."

Serena i have just read that you are at goal! Darling a huge hug for you, well done!

A great quote for you to start you life from this point on "The way you treat yourself sets the standard for others." Because you now are proud of yourself and ooze confidence. This is the standard for you to treat yourself and how others perceive you.

Massive achievement hun!

Day 51

Have just got back from dinner at the grandparents', luckily we had roast chicken so all perfectly legal for today.

I went out for a jog in the wind and the rain and my gosh it was freezing. However I treated myself to the new Pet Shop Boys album when I went shopping this morning and had my first listen to it whilst jogging along.

Because I was concentrating on enjoying that rather than my usual "crikey how much further have I got to go?" today's jog felt so much easier than usual. Just goes to show how "they" are right after all, that if you stay focussed on the positive then you can make things so much easier for yourself.

Thought for the day:

"Dare to dream."

Serena, well done on reaching goal!!!! So happy for you honey. Yayy!!!!!

Day 52

I’ve had a really lovely day today with my mum and brother. We went for dim sum in Croydon – Ronnie Corbett was in the restaurant! – and I've calculated a generous 2500 calories for the whole day. I doubt it's quite as much as that but I'd rather play it safe. I expect the scales wiil show a gain this Thursday due to all the salt and off-plan carbs etc but I haven't seen my mum and brother since just after Christmas so it's more than worth it. Their jaws hit the floor when they saw me today as I've never ever been as slim as I am now during my adult life.

I asked hubby to dig my scales out from the loft yesterday, they measure bodyfat as well as weight. I had my bodyfat % measured at the gym a couple of years ago where they used proper electrodes and stuff and the measurement moreorless matched my home scales.

Anyway, according to them this morning my bodyfat % has gone down from around 42% to 21% which I'm really chuffed about so it looks as though CD has really done its stuff burning fat rather than muscle, plus I suppose that the exercise I’ve been doing throughout would have helped too.

If only all my weekends were as fab as this one has been. :)

Thought for the day:

"Go where others fear to tread."

Wooow 21% bodyfat! You're tiiiiiiiiiny on the inside too! Well done you!

Glad you enjoyed yourself, don't worry about the excess calories you will make up for them when on strict 1200 plan so it will be fine !

Congratulations again!! xxx

I cannot believe I am about to post this...
I've done it - for the first time in my entire life I have reached my target weight :D
Huge, huge thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way with much appreciated advice and encouragment, CD would have been a heck of a lot harder for me without you all (not that my journey is quite over yet of course!)

:thankyou:
Thought for the day:

"Keep in mind that neither success nor failure is ever final."
Many many congratulations, i am so happy for you, after all of your hard work. I bet you look fab.
Just continue to maintain and post here, congratulations.

Day 53

I've cut back on my "real" food a little today in order to make up for the extra calories yesterday, and have also had three CD packs instead of two. I really thought I would be ravenously hungry today but surprisingly I've been ok.

It's lovely that the clocks have gone forward as it meant I could walk my dogs after work this evening which was nice and relaxing.

Thought for the day:

"We can change...we can make it more than a dream."

Day 54

Having a blah day today...still on the wagon though. It's weird, in the back of my head I still have that niggling feeling to eat purely to cheer myself up but I'm not having to fight that urge too much, it's just there.

Ah well :sigh:

Thought for the day:

"Happiness or unhappiness is often a matter of choice."

Hi hon

Totally understand what you're saying about the feeling to eat to cheer yourself up. It's what's bugging me in my head all the time now too.. bahhh. Sucks huh?

Hope you're having an okay day hon..
