Sophie's Slimming World Diary (Friends welcome, I'm a newbie ♥)

Laura's Slimming World Journey: RECIPE - The Smash Pizza is the site i used as a basis but i didnt really follow what she said. I made my base just using a cheap sainsburys own smash mix, didnt add herbs etc to the base, it took longer to cook than she said but initially i had it on 200c and whacked it up to 220c after 15mins of waiting and it seemed to cook better. I mixed passata with herbs and garlic, spooned it over the bases when they were done and added my toppings. Put back in oven for 5 or so minutes and they were done. Yummy!
 
Yeah, everyone ends up doing their base differently :p I add a minced garlic clove or two and lots of salt to my smash as I hate the taste of smash on it's own and this makes it soo much nicer!

I'm going to experiment with adding chilli powder next time, just enough to give it a kick, and i will try garlic in it as i love garlic :) was too focused on getting the dough consistency right to add anything to it!

All these recipes are amazing, I'm veggie and always looking to try new stuff :) I've never made a pasta bake before, I think that's my next project after these two :)

WHAT? Oh my you dont know what you're missing! I love pasta and pasta bakes are my favourite. I think i'm going to make a salmon and brocolli one this week...if i can find this damn quark stuff anywhere!

They sell it in the Tesco Metro near me, if that helps :)
 
I tried big sainsburys, small tesco and big co-op :( might have to wait until i can get to big tesco

Ahh, hope you find some soon! I only started seeing it quite recently, like in the last year or so. I've never even tried it! I've made 50 posts now and still can't view your blog :( I'm going to do my diary now :)
 
Breakfast - Apple
Lunch - Apple, Banana, Babybels (HexA)
Dinner - Jacket Potato w/beans and Edam (5 syns) and salad (1/3 super free)
Lurpak Lightest - 1 syn

So 6 syns in total. I'm very tempted to have some chocolate (I'll update this tomorrow if I do!) 1/8 of a bar is around 7 syns (!) but at least I worked it out :) haha.

Happy that I've quit my crisps every day at lunch, as they equate to 7.5 syns a day! Giving food a syn value rather than looking at calories makes such a huge difference to food intake, and definitely makes me think about what I'm eating rather than just eating as part of a pattern (eg. I used to just take crisps every day, didn't give much thought to it)

Well done on yesterdays meals :)

I'm not a big crisps fan so i dont miss them, my biggest thing is chocolate but thats why i let myself off at weekends. I really ache from that shred today, ouchy ouchy!

I really need to try it! I'm finally making the Mexican tonight, can't wait. SW chips in the oven at the moment. I have a slight bummer today, basically I was really naughty and weighed myself and it said I'd gained 1lb...I'm not really too disheartened because normally if I weigh myself in the evening I'm a few pounds heavier than in the morning, so I'll weigh myself first thing after I get up instead. I felt like I'd lost weight which is why I did it! This is one of my problems. Because I lost weight so quickly before and saw such quick results, I get addicted to seeing the weight go down and then give up when I stop losing weight. I think this is where this site is really going to help me because it's a constant support network of people who know exactly how you feel (I hope :)) Anyway. Hope you're ok miss :)
 
Definitely know how you feel when you feel like giving up because the numbers aren't shrinking quick enough! Honestly though, losing it slowly through changing your eating habits with slimming world means that you'll keep it off! Compared to those harsh diets that get the weight if quickly but our comes back as soon as you finish it :) worst thing for moral is to weigh yourself in between your weigh ins even if you do feel like you've lost a lot ;D x

Never weigh yourself at night, its never a pretty sight! I have managed to stay away from the scales all week, to be honest i dont think i've lost much this week but i'll be happy with 1-2lb again. The first week gives you so much hope but if we all lost 4-5lbs a week we wouldnt keep it off. Its always a good boost though :) look at my weigh ins, week 1 5lbs, week 2 2.5lb and week 3 1.5lbs - who knows what this week will be. You just have to remember that a loss is a loss :) Keep your chin up and stay on track x

Syns - Cheese on pizza, 2 syns

B - Grapes and Satsuma
L - Wholemeal Roll (HexB), 75g Phili light (HexA) & Lean Ham, Salad
D - Chicken Breast, Rice, Broccolli

0 syns if i stay on plan!

Dinner - Mexican - Butter Beans, Peppers, Onions - wrapped in tomato salsa and tortilla (HexB) - two other tortillas which = 14 syns (JEEPERS!) SW Chips, salad (lettuce, onion)
Chocolate - I had 2 rows of a white chocolate bar...which works out at around 13 syns.
Also had some Edam on the enchiladas which was around 5 syns.

Will update todays at some point. Wow, yesterday was so crap!

Dinner - Pasta w/free tomato sauce, flatbread (HexB), cheddar (5 syns)

What you up to tonight? I'm planning on having a nice date with my duvet and kindle! I'm really wanting chocolate today, i've had no syns so am tempted to have a look at my options ;) x
