Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Morning all

Another early night, was in bed with a book by 9pm! My social life is rocking! :D

Quiet day today, all the laundry is done, and I'm watching Lovejoy and gearing up to do the dishes - oh roll on the day when I can get a dishwasher!!!

Hey Susie... Hope you've been resting today... I'm just waiting for DS and his OH to arrive ... No rest for the wicked! Xx

Evening all me hearties! :)

I did have a very relaxing day, thanks Di! Got a bit hot outside so I had a very satisfying afternoon inside sorting out my Calibre library - and after much googling, found software that takes the lock off ebooks for a certain ereader so I could download it onto Calibre and onto my Sony!

Just had a smashing meal - boneless chicken thighs fried in coconut oil, then chopped up and mixed with a little gem lettuce, a drizzle of madarin oil and some mayo - oh it was soooo nice! :)

Made food for tomorrow, all low carb :) Bacon, tomato and avocado for brekkie; and more chicken and lettuce and mayo, with cucumber, for lunch.

More reading tonight - I am a bit over the Games tbh (and all the ads!) - looking forward to the Paralympics though, they really encapsulate the concept of amateur sport and not so much of the "We're the best country ever" stuff which really sticks in my throat (imho).

Sounds like a busy satisfying day Susie... Sleep well! Xx

I'm really looking forward to the ceremony tonight. I think London has done an amazing job but as I was born in north London I may be biased lol. If there were any significant problems they've covered them well ;)

Don't get me wrong Lisa hun, I think the whole putting the Games on thing all went really well, and the volunteers have been simply brilliant.

It's all the PR ra ra that goes with it - the biggest medal haul ever, we have the best sportspeople in the world ever, etc, etc. I got enough of that when I lived in Australia! When I left the table tennis, I was given a survey to fill out - and some of the questions were "Is Britain the best nation in the world" sort of thing. A few friends who went to various events have all commented on it, and not happily.

And some of the commentary! OMG...too much, people!

Rant over :)

But the closing ceremony is amazing - just saw one of our dancers :D

Morning....just!

What a mad night - just started watching the closing ceremony when three friends piled in - and then a neighbour asked to watch too, after his tellie went on the blink! So we laughed and cried and cheered and drank...and drank...

At about 2am I posted over 150 pics on FB of pics I took off the TV - what a narna! Although, some aren't too bad, actually :)

So today I have the mother of all hangovers. Made it to work though :)

Hope you're all feeling good :D

LOL!

I left the office at 4.30pm, hardly anyone was left, so I headed off too :)

Drank loads of water today but also needed lots of coke zero too  Time for bed soon, I think...

Evening Susie! Sounds like you needed the coke to replace sugary things... Draw the line I'm a out to draw ! Xx

Morning all

Feel MUCH better after a good night's sleep! That''ll teach me...

Have decided to have some UDs until Monday, then do 600 cal DDs and low carb UDs, with a diet break when I go on hols on 1 September.

Hope everyone is well and happy :)

Oh yeah? :p:D

So you'll be doing alternate days, ie. JUDDD? Don't know why but I had it in my head you'd be doing the 5:2 pattern that the bloke on Horizon did - must have dreamt that, lol.

I tried doing low carb UD's but it just wouldn't happen for me - I found myself wanting to eat carby rubbish non-stop for some reason  Mind you, I was a pure mismatch for JUDDD, so that's probably why!

Good luck with it - finding the plan one can stick to is so hard, it seems. Got everything crossed for ya, hon!xxx:)

The eating pattern will depend on what's happening socially, Scrummie - it might be 5:2 one week or 4:3 the next :)

Thanks for your support, I know it didn't suit you at all but I seem to get on OK with it.

Loving the sound of that plan Susie! And hearing how you're getting on with it will help me too! Holibobs looming !! How exciting! Xxx

Even more exciting is that I've been given the go ahead to order a new oven - cheapest on the market of course - but a working oven yaye!

Delivery Saturday if all goes to plan! And a lady electrician to disconnect the old one and put the new one in! Happy days :)

Morning all - weird night's sleep, with lots of mad dreams, none of which I now remember, just left with the 'feel' of them, iyswim? Must be the stuffiness - I shut the windows so Orbs can't get out (and to block out all the street noise, of which there is a lot), and I can't put the fan on all night because Madam freaks out...my role as servant is definitely well embedded!

Really wish we could just have a good burst of rain, it's so muggy.

hmmm was hoping i had bought the sun back with me for you, however it appears not....sorry. lol

A night of weird dreams for me too. Wrong people in the wrong place at the wrong time! A combination of a few things that have happened over the last couple of days I expect.
