Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Good lord Susie. You're going to have to get a broom to rap on the ceiling with.

Good to hear things sounding positive so far re: the new flat. I'm still walking funny as keeping all fingers and toes crossed ;)

Morning all

The party stopped at 4am - but only after other neighbours called Noise Control and the police!

I'm going to contact the landlord today and let him know, he likes his longer term tenants like me to be happy, so will probably chuck her out. He gets tenants here really quickly...plus he doesn't know I'm going yet! :)

It's a lovely day out there but I might have to head back to bed.

Id be so wound up Susie if I had had that to contend with !!! I'm so excited about your flat - it's looking so real and possible now!! Bet it feels scary and exciting all at the same time .. Sorry to be thick but which one is it again??? I'm a bit confuddled lol xx

LOL you have every reason to be confused, I've posted pics of so many different flats!

It's this one 1 bedroom flat for sale in Waverley Road, Plumstead, London, SE18, SE18

TBH I'm not really in love with it - but it will do perfectly well for HRH Orbie and I, and it's cheap enough so I will have enough money to do the renovations, have it paid off in about 8 years and still have enough deposit for a place down the coast :)

So, imagine - all white walls, white Louis fireplace, white plantation shutters, floorboards, and French doors from the
bedroom to the courtyard

In the kitchen - a wall oven, full height pull out larder, new white retro tiling, black slate tiles on the floor, dishwasher, no cupboards on the walls, just a couple of white shelves, French doors out to the courtyard, boiler and washing machine moved to expanded bathroom

Bathroom - you will be SO jealous of the tub - http://www.omnitub.co.uk/ - the bigger one! With an old fashioned shower rose over it - again, retro tiling, same floor tiles as the kitchen - and then a utility area on one side.

Back yard - paving for some of it, then grass and a path leading to a summer house (eventually), waist high planting beds, an archway with roses - and a fit gardener to look after it :D

The only dilemma I currently have is whether I should spend £700 on a matching oven and microwave from Ikea - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80182322/ and http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90153060/ - but what the heck! And the builder saved me £700+ by finding floorboards underneath so I don't need laminate.

It's amazing Susie and I did like it when you posted before - loads of potential and your detailed description of what you plan to do with it is absolutely enchanting ! Xx

Morning all

LOL sorry about all the detail, Di, I've had such a long time to think about how I'd like my house to look :). Can't wait for you to see it once it's all done.

John my Magic Foot Doctor comes this morning so I'd better get organised.

Have a good day.

Magic foot dr lol ? Just took a look at your new pad ....wow the kitchen is so big....loving your ideas sooooo exciting and what a good price for London x

Hi Susie, so excited about your new place - i also have everything still crossed and i've started planning the housewarming party:p
Xxxxxx

LOL thanks Katie :D

Angie - I have terrible feet - bunions, corns, all sorts of unattractive bumps, have had since I was a little girl - so John (chiropodist) comes round every six weeks to sort them out.

Later - feet all sorted, good gossip had, and way too many pics of men's bits viewed :D. Jon is gay and gets a million dates on his Grind'r app, where they share pics of You Know What - talk about try before you buy! His blinking phone was beeping away constantly while he was doing my feet so then he insisted on showing me the results. My eyes are still watering...:D

Later - was a good girl and got a load of paperwork done - and made some bark! First time so I hope it's OK - I made chocolate and peanut butter, and Turkish delight (or something pretending to be Turkish delight :D).

Chicken thighs and sossies for the week are cooking in the oven, think it might be sauteed cabbage to go with it.

Also fancy making some coleslaw for lunch.

i have a gay friend so know exactly what you mean about the try before you buy he he the things he gets up to honestly would make your hair curl.. flat looks lovely well jel of that bath lol

LOL I was trying to look unembarrassed but not with great success :D

Here's a pic of the Turkish delight bark - I made it in a small round tupperware dish. It tastes quite nice, but I put too much rose essence in. May have to taste test the peanut butter one, just for comparison, you understand :)

Gosh the possibilities really are endless, aren't they? And the only carbs are in the 1 tsp of cocoa powder! I might try coconut next, or almonds mmm. Also read somewhere that one lady leaves out the cocoa and adds cream cheese, to get white chocolate.

Also made the coleslaw and some courgette spaghetti too - might do a courgette tomato bake too, so I have lots ready to go this week. I love cooking Sundays :)

Evening Susie! I have the pics thing with my gay friend in the attic! Lol ... Loving the sound of your foods - must experiment more!

And I'm dying to see your new pad - obviously after you move in ! Lol xx

Ive added cream cheese to the regular cocoa variety - makes it a bit more creamy. Some people add nut butters to their cocoa bark too to make it taste like peanut butter cups. I haven't tried that yet but really the stuff is so satiating. Yours looks great!

Chucked the first one, really way too overpowering from rose essence - but I just inhaled the peanut butter one, it was delicious!

Got me thinking about making my own peanut butter - it seems easy enough. I think it's time for me to buy a food processor/blender :)

i chopped parsley in mine today it has three bowl sizes and the little one is fab for making breadcrumbs and wizzing up herbs i love mine!!
