Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Sage, eh? Good luck with it Brennie and yes I really want to hear how you get on with the combo. I'll take black cohosh on it's own and see how I get on.

Am as full as a bull after a scrummy lunch - homemade coleslaw (just cabbage and carrot with mayo), with boiled eggs and crispy bacon. I scoffed the lot down before a meeting, thinking it would be hours - and it was over in 30 minutes lol.

Working from home now after marching all over the Southbank so have done my walkies for the day :)

Forgot to say - I heard today (unofficially) that interviews for the job will be on 15 October - god they work so slowlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Lovely boss told me they only got 18 applications - so I couldn't help myself and said that was all about the money :) Oh well, roll on the 16th!

Now I know the internet can be a dangerous thing re self diagnosis but I've had palpitations, flushes and vertigo - all in the last six months - and feel vaguely relieved that I can put my finger on a reason why (apart from being morbidly obese, etc) and at least I can take my time reading things, rather than blurting something out quickly to a doctor who has 5 minutes to give me. Took my first tab at lunchtime. another one with dinner and let's see. I find herbal medicine works very quickly with me, so hopefully I won't be pushing damp sheets off me at 3am tomorrow morning, boiling hot - yet cold at the same time. Great being a woman. ain't it?

My mum started M at 46 - and I was hoping I'd be the same (once I got over the shock horror that I wouldn't have kids) - but noooooooooooo, like Tracy, I was an early starter and it seems my bod wants to drag out the whole thing til the bitter end.

At this rate I'll be collecting a pension before it stops....

And where is Mr Tesco - delivery ordered for 7-8, and it's nearly 8....oh and goodie upstairs Sex Woman has just started playing some boogie thing really loudly. Where's the wine?

Vertigo? Didn't know that was a symptom! I've been having vague dizzy spells since the summer, just put it down to the vino lol. Night sweats for a good few years so maybe I need to get my bloods done. I'm too young for this lol.

i still cant post on my ipad how did you get over the ios6 problem? i have a very unsexy black cover hmmmm saw a really cute bag for it in cath kidston or is it kath? i dunno... i have the odd dizzy spell getting up quick, i dont know if its vaguely menopausal, i did google symptoms of it once and was quite shocked that i did have some of the more obscure ones like hearing loss and tinitus in left ear and joint pain, there were a few others i had these things niggling me for ages and had even been to doctor, he didnt put them together but i found them on a site when i googled. the tinitus is evil!!

still going up n down within the 2lb ratio getting really old really fast now!!!

houseboat sounds like a lovely idea!!!

Fingers crossed for job Susie.

Good lord, I've got every symptom everyone's listed- leave it to me.

The only thing I don't have is night sweats, just your basic flushes at night. Alcohol makes it 10 times worse. After a couple of weeks without it once, they were almost non existent. We all know that's not going to happen again anytime soon. Palpitations went away after a couple of months.

Some I had/have and didn't realize were M related, like the vertigo and tinnitus. I had both although the vertigo is gone. Tinnitus is driving me around the twist. Got some natural pills in the US this summer and they worked pretty well, but don't ship to the UK and I'm out. My son can bring some home with him at Christmas.

Hmm wonder if I took hrt the tinnitus would go away? Some work colleagues just started taking hrt and they now look smug and symptom free, while I look bright red and irritated.

Morning Susie... I'm on HRT but useless GP wants to cut my dose while my oncologist thought I could keep it as is... I'd rather go with the oncologist because I've not had any symptoms yet and dread them !!

Morning all

The friend's drama is really sad. She lived with a guy for a few years and had a lovely little girl who is about 6 or 7 now. The relationship fell apart because he was sleeping around big time - but as well, he always has had serious mental health issues and that has deteriorated. Now my friend wants to move away from Sydney to be closer to her family in another state - and he has taken legal action to stop her. So she now needs to spend lots of money she doesn't have on going to court. She had only planned to move with his consent, which he gave, and has bought a house and everything!

Poor thing, I really feel for her. As for him - well, am thinking very bad things about him right now.

Did a naughty weigh this morning - I really don't know what's going on, but another 4lbs gone, so 9 in two days. Maybe this higher carb level is better for me, maybe it's the walking I've been doing, or maybe it's my hormones making me dream I'm losing it :) Who know - but let's hope the trend continues.
