Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Afternoon Susie, your friend sounds in a bad position, hope things sort out for her. Well done on the 9lbs, that is amazing!!! xxx

I really don't get it Bren - but my weight had crept up to the highest ever (omg) so on Monday I decided to get going properly on 40g of carbs, so maybe that's the answer.

Just chewing my way through coleslaw, egg and sossie salad :)

Thanks ladies - I really, really, don't know what's behind it - and it may all even out by next Monday - but it has put a smile on my face :)

Afternoon, great loss 9lb, i hope your friend gets sorted soon.

i think you are getting my weight loss as well as yours and someone elses on top, well done honey xx

That is a brilliant loss, Susie - I really did think a slightly higher carb level might be better for you. Less restrictive and hopefully easier to stick to on your crazy days - I've definitely found my losses on owl the same as they ever were on induction - though the majority of my extra carbs come from medication so I still really keep to induction levels of food, but its nice to have a couple of extra options. Keep on going, hon, fantabulous start!

Thanks :) I must say, I am enjoying the extra carbs - greek yoghurt and berries for B tomorrow :)

All this talk of bark, I had to head to the kitchen and make some - choc orange, peanut butter and choc almond mmmmmm :D

i think i might have to try and make some bark too feeling the need for some choccie indulgence

Stubbsey is right I'm afraid Locket, nuts aren't allowed in induction - you need to wait until OWL :(

But here's ML's basic recipe -

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted in microwave
1 tsp sweetener - like ML I use hermesetas liquid sweetener, supposed to be carb free
1 heaped tsp cocoa powder
1 heaped tsp peanut butter

Mix together and put in plastic dish and bung in freezer for 15 minutes. Then enjoy :)

Just had mine and it was lovely.

When I was in boarding school I literally LIVED in peanut butter. I ate it with a spoon. My mom used to buy in bulk and send me back to boarding school on a Sunday with tub-loads of the stuff. God knows how I stayed so thin. Now if I walk down the peanut butter aisle in a shop I pick up 1/2 a stone. I do love the stuff tho. I have spyed Waitrose Organic peanut butter that has only 5g carbs per 100g. It's definitely on my wish list when I hit OWL.

The waitrose stuff is what I use - I'm lucky in that I like nuts but don't have any portion control issues with them, i just weigh out what I'm allowed and that's it. I don't have them every day either. As long as you can control your intake nuts are a fairly good Atkins food - especially almonds and macademias - peanuts are technically a legume(bean).

Evening Susie, good to see your diary in use for the naughty pleasures in life - peanut butter AND various choccies:D
Xx
