Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Afternoon all - working from home today, as I was up half the night coughing. Really wish this rotten cold would vamoose!

Hope you're all well.

had 4 miserable hours sleep, dont know why ugh.. so feel for you at least i wasnt caughing xx hugs

Morning all

Sorry to hear you didn't sleep much Tracy :( I slept pretty well, apart from 4-5am, but still feel zonked and the cough is still here - might be time for a visit to the doc...will stop whingeing now, I am such a bad patient.

Been a bit wobbly on food (needed comfort food so ended up having a few too many slices of l/c bread with peanut butter yesterday), but am back on track today -

B - chicken drumsticks; berries and yoghurt
L - ham salad
D - probably pork belly strips and cabbage

i have been rock solid on food in fact with my two days of fasting and not being able to eat so much yesterday, ratios good tho, you would think i would have had a good loss, but no i did the two up thing after my last loss and i have not moved on the scales grrrrrrr so frustrating!

Maybe your body worried on the second day when you didn't eat much, Stubbsey, and decided to hang on to what it could? Afaik when you do those fasts it's important to eat quite high cal in between. On Judd I think it's 500cal/2000cal and they say it's the big calorie jump that makes the difference.

So sorry to hear you're still not feeling well, Susie. Definitely need a nice doctor to sort you out, especially if youve had chest problems before. Stay away from the evil lc bread though! Try a home made flax wrap maybe.

I know, I know - just didn't have the energy to make courgette soup - even though it's not difficult!

Struggling with my salad today, it's so cold, I want something hot - but that would involve carbs...sigh...

Thanks hun.

Someone went and got me a soya latte so that should stop me from straying :)

I'm having a break at the moment, busy googling thermos flasks so I can make soup and bring it in (no microwave here) - anyone got recommendations for a flask that keeps things hotter longer?

Thanks hun - sadly I find miso soup too salty for my tastes. But i do love my courgette soup, as we all know :D

Am going to nip off at 5pm and check out the flasks at T K Maxx :)

Evening Susie, sorry I have been awol at lunchtimes but bathroom being done this week so am bringing dogbert to work and taking him for a walk during my lunch break so not getting online at all then. I have come down with the dreaded lurgy too, feel really ropey tonight and ended up putting the fire on and dragging a blanket over me on the sofa when I got home, not like me at all, I normally breeze through a cold.

BTW I think I bought the exact pan you did while we were away in Llandudno, not used it yet though..................

Hope you feel better soon and get rid of the shitty chest stuff xxx

Awww Brennie so sorry you've got the dreaded cold lurgy thing too!

I'm feeling a load better, one good night's sleep and I should be up for my 9am-11pm day tomorrow sigh....

Morning Scrummy, my nose is streaming and it's Sneeze City, unfortunately, but my chest has cleared - which is a big relief :)

Even though it's really busy, I got very organised with food today -

B - chicken drumsticks, yoghurt and berries
L - lemon/pepper tuna, spinach and tomato salad
D - courgette pasta with chicken pesto lemon and feta - which looks fab, can't wait to eat it - apologies - can't remember who to thank for the combo! :)
