Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Hope you feel better soon.
Is glycerin OK on Atkins? I find that is good for soothing my throat when i have a cough/cold. And vitamin C.

Thanks hun - tbh it's not sore, just a lot of icky muck on my chest.

Don't know whether it's psychosomatic - but I think it is easing up. Maybe the revolting medicine is working after all :)

Just wilted a big load of spinach with some ham, seeded mustard and Alpro cream mmmm - and the frying pan was fab :)

Afternoon all :)

I'm just out of bed after a sensational sleep in! :) And had a *erm* "productive" cough which was fab, so the herbal yuckiness is working :)

Am supping a builder's tea to wake up, then am going to make a lovely big full English.

Roast chicken with celeriac and courgettes for dinner, and maybe some bark.

Thanks Diem - that's the reason I stopped drinking milk awhile back, because it bungs up my sinuses, and have only had a little cheese and cream cheese otherwise.

Feeling much better today (last day of my very long weekend :)), pleghm has just about shifted - not that you needed to know that :)

Very lazy day, can't summon the energy to stagger on and off three buses and trams to get to Ikea!

Bad new on the WI - 2lbs on :( But ate too much protein over the last few days, and not enough veg, that usually does it for me.

Dont worry too much you have been ill and now your getting back on your feet that will soon be gone! Xx

Thanks Tracy - yes, that is always my trouble, I go back to work too soon and colds drag out for ages. So this weekend has been fab, lots of sleep, reading and cuddles with Orbit :)

Just tried out the LCM breading mix with some turkey escalopes - very nice, although as Ml mentioned earlier, almond meal would be just as good - just a little bit of extra crunch :) Got some left over for snacks tomorrow, and will make my salad shortly.

That's what I need to do, get my butt into the kitchen and make a salad! It's daft buying the ingredients then chucking them a week later once they've gone gooey in the fridge drawer and all the while buying lunch at work.

Sent from my iPad using MiniMins

I actually like to assemble my salad in the morning - it only takes 10 minutes, so I should be able to do it every morning (but don't always!) :)

How is your egg cooker going, Lisa?

Thanks Sandra :)

Well it's a Tuesday, feels like a Monday and all h*ll is breaking loose. that's the trouble with taking time off, no one does my job in the meantime, so I have about 22 things on the urgent list...

It's also so foggy I can't see anything out the window.

Think my little gain has gone, am feeling focused again and back in the saddle :)

B - roast beef and cheese roll ups x2; berries and yoghurt; soya latte
L - chicken salad with pesto mayo (it's a bit heavy on the carbs but I want to use it up)
D - roast chicken with celeriac and peppers

thats good to hear, not the busy day tho. Tuesdays are always a busy day for me too hugs xx

I've managed to offload a couple of stinkers to the lovely graduate intern :D So evil mwhuahahaha...

Just munching through my salad, tres nice nosh :)

I've come to the very sad but inescapable conclusion that red wine does my weight loss in (in the quantities I drink it in, anyway!) so am going to really limit my intake over the next couple of weeks and see how I get on. Friday night will be my night out, but I might switch to dry white wine (just can't handle spirits).

I am not a wine drinker, dont mind a glass of Rose Cava at Crimbo. Had a few (eh hem) glasses of prosecco however u spell it, at the wedding when i was off plan which i liked. But as my oh is a drinker it makes me a boring non drinker. When i have a very rare drink its gin, luckily low carb, but can take it or leave it. What wine do u drink?

lol on the unloading Susie. Pesto chicken salad sounds lovely.

I'm the same with wine and vodka and I drink white. No alcohol for me this weekend at all. :( x
