Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

You will LOVE it Smiley :D

Yes, super excited Susie. Courgettes have been the biggest revelation for me and the man. I even had left over pasta and pesto for breakfast today. I got Tesco own pesto yesterday, as recommended by you. Haven't tried it yet, but they're all pretty similar, eh?

Similar in terms of taste, you mean? I don't know - but it looked quite nutty to me, which is how I like my pesto :D

I read somewhere about guy raving about beetroot spaghetti! So there's really no limits on what you can turn into "pasta" :)

Afternoon Susie, for once I gave in to a cold and didn't go to work today, boss said she was surprised I had made it this far in the week.................................eating is crap unfortunately cos when I am ill all I want is carbs...............oh well. Glad to hear your chest has cleared xxx

Big hugs Brennie so sorry the cold is making you feel so miserable - and I know what you mean about craving carbs! :(

Welll I am one lucky girl, got let off early, so got away at 7 - instead of 11pm! :D TG - it's SO cold out there! Amazing experience though :)

Afternoon all

Went to the flat to meet the agent and builder there - with one thing and another, the agent had to go before the builder got there - but we've talked it all through and shaken hands on the deal - so the work can start as soon as I get the keys!

Had to stand outside in the wind for about 45 minutes all up - but I know I've picked a good road to live in, just as the builder arrived, one of the neighbours came out, he said he saw me sitting there shivering, thought I'd been locked out and was about to bring me out a cup of tea, bless him! :) You don't get that in London very often these days. Also met my upstairs neighbours, who seem like a nice couple; and 'interrogated' the man running the corner shop about opening hours, etc, and he was very sweet too.

So, the flat is grotty now but will be lovely. I can't wait!

Wine and a book here soon. Hope you've all had a nice day.

Hopefully get the keys about 12 November (depending on how successful I am with badgering calls to solicitors, etc), then about 5 weeks of work, then move in 21 December.

A lot depends on this timeline, so I'm not holding my breath, tbh, but nice to dream :)

Mmmm wouldn't it? :) Am still holding my breath about it all actually happening, after four flats falling through - but none had got to this stage, so it's back to crossing fingers and toes for another couple of weeks :D

In the meantime I'm now busy googling French doors and windows :)

Blimey i bet u were freezing waiting all that timeits been bitterly cold today x

glad its allcoming together it moves so slowly all those searches n stuff xxx

LOL Lisa - I'd be proud to be adopted by your lot :D

And yes Tracy it was minging out there. Apparently it is already snowing in parts of the country! But am warming up from the inside out now with a little (cough) glass of red :D

my husband had to drive through Dartford (kent) this morning and he drove through a blizzard brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We definitely had some snow here yesterday, only a bit but it was definitely white stuff, and my bro is in London somewhere today and he has seen some too xx

Don't think I've seen any snow in my part of town but brrrr it's so cold!

Exciting times with the flat Susie. Giving me daydreams of a place of my own!

I see it's going great guns on the homefront Susie, that's fab!!!!! Neighbors sound perfect, so important.

It snowed here for about 20 min on Friday and it was great.

Afternoon all - a very lazy day here, starting with a big sleep in :)

Chicken is in the oven roasting away, celeriac going in shortly, then will add sauteed spinach. Yum!
