Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

It will be on for 9 hours so will either be like boot leather or delish lol. Just need to pop in Tesco on my way home for cabbage and potato for the chaps. I want to go in the new Morrisons which opened on Monday but I'm expecting a phone call from the Mothership and know I'll get distracted by all the shiny new things and not get home on time lol.

he he thats funny my nickname used to be mothership.. i used to work on the response desk at the ambulance service, sending out cars, bikes, doctors, community responders and air ambulance, basically anything that wasn't an ambulance.. well the hele had nicknames for everyone on board and i used to call them whirlybird21 (rather than helemed21) they used to call me mothership lol (not sure if it was because i was the SIZE of a mothership) tho probably not knowing the guy who thought of it he was my favourite on there!!

happy days, not like now, totally different kettle of fish!!

can you post your peanut bark recipe again, i won't know where to find it, unless its on a sticky?

Morning, I am the exact opposite at the moment, not really feel like eating at all, cal yesterday less than 900, eek.
I live the idea of a slow cooker, but I am at home most days not sure I could justify it.

No problem - melt 1/4 cup coconut oil, mix in a dessertspoon cocoa powder (I use the bourneville one), plus a dessertspoon crunchy peanut butter (Waitrose seems to be the lowest carb one) and sweetener to taste (I use liquid Hermesetas, no carbs). Give it a good mix together, and pour into a small dish/mold and freeze for 15 mins.

OMG the woman who sits next to me is driving me nuts, she keeps talking at me, even though it must be obvious that I'm trying to concentrate. Told her once already that I need to focus, but she has kept on doing it - so am sitting here with headphones listening to an alum's new album!

Later - Note to Self - do not make turkey rissoles and leave until the next day. They are like rocks! :(

LOL they were horrible and had to go in the bin.

Had a carby lunch in the end - but felt I needed something because am getting an almighty headache with this detox!

Thanks hun, it's still with me but am going to cook up some turkey pieces with cabbage in a mo - and drink lots of water! Hopefully that will help :)

Dinner - turkey with miracle noodles, cabbage, carrots, alpro cream, curry powder and chilli flakes.

Morning all

Still feeling a bit rough and didn't get much sleep - this virus is a real muvva! But it's Thursday, which is still my Friday until the permanent role starts officially (no work tomorrow) so I can take it easy this weekend.

B - l/c granola
L - ham salad
D - courgetti meatballs - or the leftover turkey noodle surprise :) - which was very nice.

Day 5 no alcohol - but have a coffee in my hand as we speak, because of the lack of sleep!

I hope you begin to feel better soon, it is hard to stick to a diet when you are feeling rough, enjoy your "Fri".

Coffee?! What would your herbalist say? :p

Gotta say, you lasted an awful lot longer without it than I would have done - I would have been climbing the walls by the end of day 1!:D

Hope you get a really good rest and chance to recover this weekend, hun xxx

Thanks guys - I didn't mind the caffeine so much, I only have two a day anyway - I start the day with a builder's tea, then a latte on the way to work - so my caffeine intake isn't excessive.

Not like my alcohol intake  - I know I have been using alcohol as a crutch - to wind down when I'm stressed, had lots of dramas and stuff to deal with on my own, plus I'm also a very social animal. It's all tied up with me not having a Stop button, it's the same with food.

I've been trying a herbal thing called Kudzu since last week. I take one tablet at night and not once have I fancied wine - or anything else for that matter! Early days, but hopefully it will help reduce my intake :)

We might as well order in bulk and get a discount lol xxx

Afternoon Susie et al - I am still really under the weather myself and can't seem to shake it off, so much so that I have resorted to antibiotics...............and I hate taking the things so I must be ill. Spent most of last night on the couch as my constant hacking cough was keeping the Mrs awake (and the dog) which is not good for any of us. Oh well, fingers crossed they will sort me out xx

Sorry to hear you're still feeling so rough, Brennie xxxxxxx I find a couple of Nurofen suppresses the cough, so you can at least get a bit of sleep!

Well I am sitting here shaking my head (and feeling quite stressed out) after a ridiculous conversation with Idiot Woman in HR. Won't go into it all here, but she sent me an email at lunchtime giving me until tomorrow to bring my passport in - conveniently forgetting that I don't work Fridays. Lots of emails with her boss later, and we have a solution - but what a waste of two hours! the upshot is that I have to bring it in on Monday and give it to the Principal's assistant but NOT DO ANY WORK until HR comes to copy it.

OhMyGiddyAunt.com...a vino might be closer than I think :D Idiot Woman is one of those awful people who talk over the top of you, so I had great pleasure in telling her boss that I had to ask Idiot Woman twice to stop talking so I could finish my sentence. Nothing will come of it though...
